Yanbian University and the Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies, CASS Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

On the afternoon of 11 April, Yanbian University and the Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in the Academic Lecture Hall on the eighth floor of the Science Library. The ceremony was attended by Li Guoqiang, academician of CASS and deputy director of the Chinese Academy of History; Liu Huichun, Party Secretary of the Institute of Borderland Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Science; Du Rui, Party Secretary of Yanbian University; and members of Yanbian University’s Party Standing Committee. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Wang Hongfu.
Under the witness of Du Rui and Li Guoqiang, Vice-President Liu Yan signed on behalf of Yanbian University, while Liu Huichun signed for the Institute of Borderland Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Science.
The signing of this agreement has created new opportunities and injected fresh impetus into in-depth research on frontier governance and prosperous border development. Building on this strategic collaboration, our university will further leverage its role as a "National Gateway University" to continuously expand bilateral cooperation in borderland studies, optimize collaborative mechanisms, and comprehensively enhance the quality of frontier research. Together with the Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, we will accelerate exchanges and cooperation across broader domains and deeper levels, contributing wisdom and strength to national border governance and regional development strategies.
Also present were Chu Dongmei, Director of the Northeast Borderland Studies Center, Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Jiang Hongyang, Senior Research Officer of the Research Office, the Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; representatives from relevant functional departments and schools of the university.
